has she changed? OHSHC Hikaru x reader

“hey did you hear? (y/n)'s family is moving back to Japan.” Kaoru said. Hikaru's eyes  widened. “ you mean (nickname)? Shes coming back?” Hikaru got excited. “yeah I think she might come to Ouran.” he responded. Hikaru had to process everything he just heard. “Hey are you blushing?!” Kaoru asked him. “N-no of cours not!” he said turning away from him, covering his mouth with his hand. Hikaru had a crush on her back in middle school, but she left to soon to hear it.  

(y/n) and the twins were good friends. She was one of the few people who could tell them apart. The (l/n) family were very wealthy. They did business with the Hitachiin Family often. (y/n) grew up around snobby rich people and she always told herself that she will never behave as they do. She wanted to be as “normal” as possible. She tried her best to be nice to everyone no matter there social status. At first the twins didn't understand this theory until they met Haruhi. (y/n) father thought she was too nice. “How can you take over the company if you don’t know how to put your foot down!” he would yell at her. When they were in middle school (y/n)'s dad sent her to America to study. The twin haven’t heard from her since.

Hikaru couldn’t think strait all day. The last memory of (y/n) flickered in his head. As his thought pulled him away from the math on the board.


FLASH BACK

Hikaru waited outside the school gate for his twin. he grabbed his headphones and put them on. Just as he got lost in the tune he was a person coming closer and closer to him. He knew who it was. “Hikaru!” she yelled as she ran to him. If it was anyone else he would have ignored them. “wheres Kaoru?” she asked. “He forgot his notebook, so he went back to get it.” he explained. (y/n) pressed her lips into  'o' shape.

“what are you still dong here?” he stared “Don't you go home by now?” he asked. “well, I told my dad I would get a ride from a friend,but I think I might just take the train home.” she said. He took a moment to think about what the girl just said. 'how could somebody of such a high social standard,take the train home?' he asked himself. “you mean the commoner train?” she nodded “with no escort?” “well I live up the hill. It's not that long of a  ride.” she reassured. “Hey Hikaru!” his twin called out, waving the notebook in the air. He waved back. “Hey (y/n) why are you still here?” he asked trying to catch his breath “oh I was just going. See you guys tomorrow” she stared walking off. A black luxurious car pulled up to the front of the middle school.

“ugh!” Hikaru grunted out  “huh? Hey you alright Hikaru?” his twin said being caught off guard. “how could she do something so reckless.” he yelled “what are you talking about? Hurry get in the car.” he said dragging the other in. They drove by the train station but she was already gone. Just as the car pulled up to the Hitachiin manor, Hikaru ran out the car and upstairs to his room. He flipped open his phone and dialed the number.

“(y/n)?!” His heart was beating fast “what?” She answers back. “are you alright?” “yeah I'm fine. Why you ask?” he felt a serge of relief go through his body. “i just wanted to make sure you got home safe.” “alright Grandpa. I got to go.” “alright.” he said as they hung up. His heart slowed down knowing that she was alright. That when he realized it.

flash back end

“Mr. Hitachiin!” yelled his maths teacher. He sat up strait being pulled back into reality. “as I was saying. X is the prime....” her words became more faint to him. He was extremely board now. Nothing unusual ever really happened at school (besides host club events.) “and as you see here-” she was interrupted. A upper upperclassmen had knocked on the door and opened it. He handed her a note. She stepped outside the room for a moment. Small whispered floated all around the room. He could here the girls gossip about about witch host club boy was the cutest. One sprayed perfume causing Hikaru to become nauseous. “oh well nice to meet you miss...” Her words trailed off. Hikaru was pulled back into reality once more. He tried to listen to what was going on outside. The teacher stepped back in.

“quiet down now.” she stared “this is miss (l/n). she just transferred here from America.” she said. Hikaru grew shocked. He felt his mouth hang open but quickly shut it. “please take care of me.” she said bluntly with no expression. She did a small bow.

Hikaru POV:

That couldn’t be (y/n). She doesn’t look happy anymore. I wonder what shes been up to. Why does she look so board. “okay you all know we have a test. Miss (l/n), I know your new but try your best. You can retake it later.” the teacher said handing out all the tests. Everyone groaned. Everyone looked as if they were concertinaing to get the best grade. Within 5 minutes (y/n)'s hand flew in the air. “yes miss (l/n)/” “I'm finished my test.” “oh how silly I'm sure you-” she looked the test. “you got a perfect score. How amazing.” The whole class was surprised. She just got here! How could she be so advanced in already?!

NORMAL POV

The bell had rang. (y/n) stayed behind to discuss something with a teacher. She walked down the now cleared hall. She tried to make her way to the front of the school. She smelled a over whelming smell of roses. She was tempted to make her way through the door. She entered but first peeked her head in. All the host weren’t doing anything special. The twin were the first to look up. “(y/n)?” Kaoru said running up to her. “Its very nice to see you Kaoru.” she said . “I didn’t know you be here so soon! I'm so happy to see you!” he said. “Oh why who is you beautiful friend here?” Tamaki asked. “Oh this is (y/n) we were friends when we were younger.” “hello” she said introducing herself. “well I must be going. See you all tomorrow.” she said leaving.

“Hey Hikaru did you see! It was (y/n)! arnt you happy?” he asked. “shes hanged.” “what do you mean?” “cant you see? Shes not the same out going person she was. She doesn’t even smile now!” Hikaru said getting upset.

LATER ON


“(y/n)? what are you still doing here? Shouldn’t you be home by now?” Hikaru asked. “yes. But my ride is running late.” she said looking down. “could you just take the train?” he asked. “why would anyone of my social status do such a thing?” just as she said that, her ride pulled up and she drove away.
